Welcome to Uzbekistan During the EID Holidays
Traveling to Uzbekistan during EID is a unique and rewarding experience. The country combines deep spiritual traditions with warm hospitality, allowing visitors to witness authentic cultural life while still enjoying full access to tourist services and attractions.
Historical Sites Remain Open
All major historical and cultural landmarks remain open throughout the EID holidays. You can freely explore the majestic squares of Samarkand, the ancient streets of Bukhara, and the architectural treasures of Khiva. Museums, mausoleums, madrasahs, and UNESCO-listed monuments continue operating according to their regular schedules, making EID a wonderful time for sightseeing without interruption.
Restaurants and Dining During Ramadan & EID
During the holy month of Ramadan, restaurants remain open during lunchtime. While many local people fast during the day, restaurants continue to serve food for travelers and for those who are not fasting. In the evening, after sunset, local residents gather in restaurants to break their fast (iftar), creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
Because dinner time becomes especially busy, we strongly recommend booking your table in advance during Ramadan and EID holidays.
Please note that most restaurants do not serve alcohol during the Ramadan month. However, some bars and selected restaurants continue to offer alcoholic beverages.
Transportation and Daily Services
Transportation services operate normally during Ramadan and EID. High-speed trains, regular trains, public buses, domestic flights, taxis, and private transfers are all available during daytime. Supermarkets and shopping centers also remain open, including during EID holidays, ensuring comfort and convenience for visitors.
