Many travelers and travel companies advertise the Aral Sea as a day trip; however, due to the long distance, it is not possible to visit the actual Aral Sea and return to the city within the same day. In many cases, travelers visit only the town of Muynak, which used to be a port on the Aral Sea, and after seeing the former harbor and ship cemetery, they believe they have visited the Aral Sea, although this is not the case today. To reach the present shoreline of the Aral Sea, travelers must continue the journey from Muynak by off-road vehicle for approximately four to five hours and stay overnight near the shore. Therefore, to truly experience the Aral Sea, at least two days and one night are required. Samaria Travel organizes authentic Aral Sea tours that typically begin and end in Nukus; however, tours can also be arranged from Khiva, which requires three days and two nights due to the longer distance. Additionally, we can organize tours starting from Nukus Airport or Urgench Airport, and according to your preferences, we are able to arrange Aral Sea tours from various cities across Uzbekistan. Choose your adventure tour to the Aral Sea with the local company Samaria Travel and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
